KIM HOUGHTON Small Business Futures - Prospects for the next 5 years Podcasts, blogs, YouTube and Ebay – is the internet really
changing the operating environment for small
businesses? Because on the other hand the ‘personal touch’
seems to be working better for small businesses than ever
before as bigger competitors lose touch with customers, and
customers themselves get more picky.
This presentation shares
Kim's unique interpretation of today’s economic and
demographic environments to highlight opportunities for
small businesses over the next 5 years. The presentation
draws on up-to-date economic data – especially consumer
purchasing patterns, labour force and disposable income
data. Kim looks at the data for the Southern Highlands as
well as showing insights into national and international
patterns – with a critical eye to find the trends and
opportunities favouring small businesses.
