Samantha Wheatley - Chair

Coming from a background in Nursing and School teaching Samantha has always worked in a caring and nurturing capacity. She has also undergone Life Coaching training and her work as a coach has been a natural extension of her past careers. Now Samantha is a Wellness Advocate for doTERRA and teaches the value of essential oils to classes and individuals. Having fallen in love with the oily lifestyle herself, she believes in empowering people to make choices based on their intuition and she teaches how to use the oils to support health and wellbeing. Samantha is a local from Robertson, she lives on a small farm with her husband and 4 teenagers, surrounded by lots of animals and a big rambling garden. She loves meeting new people and is always curious to get to know others and make new friends. She highly values relationships and is delighted to be part of the Business Womens Network and hold the role of Chair.

Sam’s role in the BWN is as Chair of the organisation. She also coordinates the bookings for each event, assists with sourcing presenters as well as ensuring the club continues to grow in members. Sam is also in charge of monitoring the email inbox for the club, answering queries, chairs committee meetings each month, and serves as MC for the luncheon event each year. 

Anne Saloyedoff - Venue and Publicity Coordinator

Originally from the Cotswolds region of the UK, Anne migrated with her husband Mark and son Alexander to Sydney in 1999 and moved to the Southern Highlands in 2011, after a five year hiatus in Singapore. With twenty years experience working in diverse Corporate areas as a Foreign Exchange Dealer, a Business Manager in Health and Information Services and a Consultant in UK Health  and Business Operations Anne made a conscious lifestyle change and retrained to teach both Tai Chi and Yoga.  Gaining invaluable experience through private tuition with Madam Eng Choo Eng in Singapore, Anne went on to achieve her Yoga Australia Level 1 Yoga Teacher status training with Kate Pell at Bowral Yoga Studio.  She is now Owner, Director of The Vale Studio Eastern Arts Venue in Colo Vale, providing tailored Proactive Wellbeing experiences to Corporate groups as well as private individuals.  Time permitting Anne is also a keen gardner, golfer and a passionate cook.

Anne is our venue and publicity coordinator. She arranges all the venues and the details for the events, compiles and provides the information for advertising for the events and also ensures that the guest speaker is booked, looking after their requirements.

Barbara Smith - New Member Coordinator

Originally from Newcastle-upon-Tyne U.K, Barbara migrated to Sydney with her family. She married Ted in 1960 and later established Global Marketing Pty. Ltd and Advanced Composites Pty. Ltd, the latter becoming the leading Australian supplier of specialty materials & equipment for aerospace and defence. Barbara has always been involved with community & charity organisations: The Engadine Auxiliary for The Northcott Society (formerly The N.S.W. Crippled Children Association) since 1967, Brownie Guides & Ranger Guides and for the past 33 years involved in all key roles of Inner Wheel Australia forming & chartering the Inner Wheel Club of Southern Highlands. She has been active member of the Business Women’s Network for 17 years. Although now retired from a working environment, she and her husband have developed a productive Truffiere producing French Perigord Black Truffles & host popular Truffle Hunts and tastings for groups in the Southern Highlands.

Barbara is our official hostess and new member coordinator. She hosts the guest speaker at our breakfasts and makes everyone feel welcome to all our events. She is in charge of contacting and welcoming new members to the club and arranges name badges for everyone.

Lisa Dower - IT Manager

Born and raised in the southern suburbs of Sydney Lisa moved to the Southern Highlands in early 2013. She has 20 years of finance, bookkeeping and IT experience beginning her career in the insurance industry.  Following a few years working for private companies she has worked for the Waste Management Association of Australia (WMAA) as Financial Controller and IT Manager for 12 years.  In early 2016 she started her own business, Dower House Bookkeeping Services which brings bookkeeping services to all areas of the Southern Highlands and also works remotely elsewhere to provide outsourced bookkeeping to all areas of Australia, particularly the non profit sector.  In her spare time Lisa enjoys gardening, films, playing with the fur kids and appreciating a good bottle of wine with friends.

Lisa is our IT Manager. She manages the website and distributes all email invitations and notices. She posts the event details on the website  and manages the online member directory and any other IT issues that arise.
